Let’s face it: most people hate passwords. They’re hard to remember, and when we make them easy to remember, they become easy to guess.
But strong passwords are still one of the easiest ways to protect your online life from hackers, scammers, and data breaches.
1. Use a sentence you can picture
Example: "I ate 5 spicy meatpies in Kano!" → IA5spicymp@Kano
2. Add your own symbol rules
Turn every "s" into "$", every "i" into "1".
Example: "SecureFolder2024" → $ecureFo1der2024
3. Use a passphrase (4 random words)
Like: dog bicycle mango ladder
This is hard to crack, but easy to remember. Just don’t reuse it!
If you can’t remember them all (no one can), use tools like Bitwarden or 1Password to store them securely. Just remember your master password.
And please — don’t use the same password on every site. If one gets hacked, they all do.
Stay safe. Your password is your first lock online — make it strong.
